Graduated in Law and Economics at Deusto University in 1994 (Bilbao), I did a Masters in Law at the London School of Economics, specializing myself in Human Rights, Environment and Development issues. In 2001 y 2002 I took the PHD courses at ESADE Business School, Barcelona, focusing my interest in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Additionally, I received NLP training (Practitioner level) at the Gestalt Institute in Barcelona in 2002, and Gestalt Psychotherapy training at Equipo Centro in Madrid, from 2005 to 2009. In Decembr 2009 I started my training in the Enneagram and SAT Programme with the Claudio Naranjo Foundation.
I started my professional career at the Foundation for Sustainable Development (FUNDES) in Central America. I worked promoting the strengthening of micro and small businesses in urban and rural areas of Costa Rica, and further on I was FUNDES director in Guatemala. Later, I worked in Mexico as programme officer at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Back in Spain I was coordinator of the Swiss foundation AVINA, oriented to supporting civil society environmental and social leadership.
From 2004 until 2008 I was director of programmes at the Foundation for Ecology and Development (ECODES), leading projects in areas such as urban water efficiency, climate change, responsible consumption and corporate social responsibility (CSR), both in Spain and Latin America.
From 2000 I have also participated at research and publications of ECODES and ESADE business school on social economy, NGO management, responsible consumption and CSR. Also, I have been a lecturer at masters and CSR courses, mainly at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and the Instituto de Empresa (IE)/Club de Excelencia en Responsabilidad.
In 2009 I start working as a free-lance consultant, collaborating mainly with Johnson & Johnson Medical, coordinating their strategy and main actions regarding CSR in Spain and Portugal. I have also collaborated with Fundación Esther y Marta Palacios, identifying economic initiatives in Nicaragua and Ecuador.
I am fluent in Spanish, English, French and Catalan. I understand and read Portuguese and Italian.
